It's cool when you realize that you don't really seem to fit anywhere and that everything that used to be right and reliable just isn't anymore. And because I have to, I'll go ahead and say that "life goes on" and make the obligatory "it will all work out" statement, but the truth is--the truth is--that I just plain don't understand why things tend to work out this way for me.Tomorrow will mark a month since my 22nd birthday and the last month has been disappointing to say the very least. My birthday was just a Tuesday and it didn't seem that anyone was much in the mood of celebrating much of anything, my birthday the least of which to mention. And I find myself wanting to say, "But at least this" or, "At least that," but we both know that those words are harsh jokes.
Because, in the end, I'm still just last place.
