Not too Interesting

I decided today that I want to get my masters in gifted education. After consideration, I strongly believe that this is perhaps the area of public education that is the most neglected. As a rule, society tends to throw money at the most obvious problematic situations and in the realm of education, this is usually played out in special needs programs. What people either don't understand or choose to ignore is that students that are tested as being "gifted" are special needs students, too. Just as our lower achieving students need educator who are commited to ensuring their success, our highest achieving student population also deserves the same instructional devotion. Every student has a right to an education that is best suited to their academic needs. Sadly, few truly receive this. Anyway, this is my goal. To provide students with the best educational possible.I've got a busy month coming up. TSATF (see: favorite band link) is releasing their third album soon, so we're getting ready to party in all of that. :) Mother's Day and a bajillion graduations are soon. My kids compete at the end of the month and the other studio has recital coming up. And, I start my full-time summer job which will have new responsibilities, but all in all, I'm looking forward to everything.
And alas, the boy front. What will it hold? I'm wondering myself, but I'm sure I'll figure something out. I always do.
Love you!
